Talk on festival distribution
Anne Marie Kürstein is a festival consultant for documentaries at DFI (Danish Film Institute). She was employed at DFI’s Film Workshop from 1990-1998 where she was in charge of the Film Workshop’s films and video productions at international and Danish festivals as well as program planning at museums and the Cinematek of the Film House.
Since 1998 she has worked in different departments of DFI, which have had Danish films’ participating at festivals and film markets as a work area, with both documentaries and short films.
She was co-organizer of Copenhagen Film + Video Workshop Festival 90, 92, 94 and Digital Days in 1996 as well as a member of Aarhus Film Festival’s board 1999-2004.
Anne Marie has been a jury member at the following festivals: Amsterdam International Documentary Festival, Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animation, It's All True Documentary Film Festival, Sao Paulo, Atlantic Film Festival, Halifax. Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival. München Documentary Festival, Hamburg Short Film Festival and Interfilm Festival in Berlin.
The talk focuses on how to make a festival game plan, where to find information about the festivals, and which festivals focus their search for new film and new talent.
